CASA DE LAS COMEDIAS
Casa de las Comedias occupies the site of a 17th-century Cordoban comedy theatre (corral de comedias), documented since 1562 as the city's jail. The historic building has been transformed into 9 boutique apartments, each inspired by a different episode in that history — from the jail itself to a tribute to Lope de Vega — combining original architecture with contemporary design.

ACT I — Ground floor: the foundations of the theatre
1562 — The Jail (35 m², up to 4 guests, 1 double bedroom + sofa bed): recalls the building's documented origin as Córdoba's old jail.
1599 — Totus Mundus (48.85 m², up to 6 guests, 2 double bedrooms + sofa bed): inspired by the opening of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
1602 — De los Góngora (23 m², up to 4 guests, 1 double bedroom + sofa bed): a tribute to the Góngora family, linked to the authorisation of the Casa de las Comedias.
1603 — El Semicírculo (27.30 m², up to 2 guests, 1 double bedroom): inspired by the theatre's original semicircular seating.
ACT II — Upper floor: life on stage
1604 — De Lope (48.85 m², up to 4 guests, 1 double bedroom + sofa bed): dedicated to the meeting between Lope de Rueda and Lope de Vega.
1605 — El Palco (55.35 m², up to 6 guests, 2 double bedrooms + sofa bed): evokes the old civic council box.
1621 — La Tramoya (33.90 m², up to 2 guests, 1 double bedroom): dedicated to the backstage of Baroque theatre.
